InSkill Launches Public Developer API to Accelerate Industrial AI Copilot Integrations

InSkill has launched its Public Developer API, giving OEMs and industrial operators a new way to build, integrate, and automate AI copilot workflows across their operations. The API expands access to InSkill’s platform and allows engineering teams to connect copilots with internal systems, asset data sources, and custom applications with greater flexibility.

The Public Developer API provides programmatic control over GPT sessions, copilot products, and resource libraries. This enables advanced integrations, automated publishing pipelines, seamless movement of knowledge across enterprise environments, and new ways to access copilots and expertise.

The New API Includes

GPT Endpoints

Teams can retrieve GPT sessions, add messages, capture user feedback, and analyze how workers interact with copilots. These endpoints support deeper insights into operator questions and allow companies to automate their knowledge improvement workflows.

Product Copilot Endpoints

Developers can list, retrieve, export, and import copilots as JSON. This makes it possible to manage copilots as code, version them across environments, and promote updates from development to staging and production with ease.

Resource endpoints

The API supports full CRUD operations for resource content, including file uploads. Companies can now sync content libraries, automate updates, and integrate their existing documentation systems with InSkill.

Industry Impact

The Public Developer API strengthens how organizations integrate knowledge, automate workflows, and deliver real time expert guidance to frontline workers. It unlocks a new backbone for enterprise level copilots that adapt to site conditions and machine configurations.

Advanced System Integrations

Manufacturers can connect InSkill to their existing service systems, asset management platforms, IoT layers, and other internal systems to InSkill.

These systems can create GPT sessions, inject live machine and site context into messages, and execute sophisticated workflows.

This allows operators to receive guidance that reflects live machine conditions, historical resolutions, and site specific rules without manual data transfer.

Copilot access embedded inside equipment

OEMs can integrate InSkill copilots directly into machine HMIs, service tools, or digital interfaces using API calls. Devices can open a GPT session, send messages that include device state or error codes, and display responses as on screen instructions, troubleshooting flows, or safety reminders.

This gives technicians and operators instant access to troubleshooting guidance, safety steps, and diagnostic workflows from wherever they need it, even within the device itself.

Automated Publishing Pipelines

Engineering teams can manage copilots and content as part of their software release process. Products can be exported as JSON, versioned in source control, validated, and promoted across development, staging, and production.

Resources can be created and updated programmatically, which reduces manual steps and ensures operators always have the most accurate expertise and guidance.

Unified content management

Resource APIs allow manufacturers to keep documentation, procedures, and safety steps synchronized across large product portfolios. Updates can be pushed programmatically, ensuring that every site and every copilot uses the latest approved content.

Executive Commentary

“With the Public Developer API, we are opening up the InSkill platform so teams can integrate copilots directly into their own systems and workflows. Our goal is to make it simple for manufacturers to connect their data, their processes, and their expertise to the tools workers rely on every day.”

The Public Developer API builds on InSkill’s mission to help industrial organizations scale expertise, improve safety, and reduce downtime through accurate, context aware AI copilots. It also complements the company’s newest generation of the Agentic AI Engine, which powers reliable on site guidance for operators worldwide.

The API is available now for all InSkill customers. Engineering teams interested in enabling Developer Mode or exploring integration options can contact their InSkill representative for onboarding or email us as info@inskill.ai
